Innovation IPA

Tap to rate

A 6.7% IPA conceived as a Belgian-style white IPA: wheat goes into the mash next to pale ale malt and the beer is fermented warm, which makes it lighter than its strength implies. Assertive hops open with grapefruit and mango, followed by a honeyed sweetness and a caramelised, slightly chewy finish, with a trace of spice from the house yeast. It was created to celebrate the completion of the new brewhouse and launched in 2010.

Serve at 8–11°C

Serve well-chilled. Session IPAs are at their best cold — the lower ABV means less warmth to balance the hops.

Tulip glass

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.

Drink fresh. Session IPAs are brewed to be consumed young — the hops are at their best now.
