Deep golden amber hue, achieved through nine months of lagering in the castle cellars. The beer presents brilliant clarity with a creamy, persistent head that forms fine lacing along the glass. Carbonation is moderate and well-integrated, befitting a beer of this strength and age.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with a forceful bouquet of tree fruit esters—ripe pears, orchard apples, and white grape notes dominate. Beneath the fruit lies a subtle spice frame of anise and black pepper, complemented by hints of vanilla and a dusting of powdered sugar. The alcohol is present but well-mannered, warming rather than harsh.

Intensely sweet on entry, with a full, luscious palate that showcases dark fruit character—dried plum and grape skin—alongside vanilla cream and honey undertones. The malt backbone is substantial and warming, providing structure without harshness. Bitterness is restrained at 22 IBU, allowing the fruity sweetness and spice to remain in the foreground throughout.

The finish is long and glycerous, with lingering notes of honeyed stone fruit and a subtle peppery warmth that persists for several minutes. Alcohol presence becomes more pronounced in the aftertaste, emphasizing the beer's formidable strength without becoming aggressive.
