Papillon

◎ Aussehen

Hazy pale gold with a soft, diffuse cloudiness from suspended yeast and protein. The head forms quickly and clings to the glass with fine Schaumkleiden. Carbonation is moderate and creeping, characteristic of the style.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with floral rose and white blossom notes from the five-hop blend, layered with soft berry fruit—particularly stone fruit and red currant. Behind sits a delicate, biscuity Malz base that frames rather than dominates, allowing the hop aromatics to breathe.

◐ Geschmack

Entry is smooth and full in the mouth, with the broad Malz foundation of barley, wheat and oats providing body without sweetness. Mid-palate unfolds the berry and floral character in balance with restrained bitterness (50 IBU), finishing clean without harsh edges. The 5.5% ABV remains completely hidden beneath the textural softness.

◑ Abgang

The finish is short to medium, drying gently as the hop character recedes. A faint blossom and berry impression lingers without any astringency or alcohol burn.
