Citrus Boom

◎ Aussehen

Citrus Boom presents a bright golden hue with excellent clarity and a fine, persistent white head. The carbonation is lively, evident in the steady stream of small bubbles rising through the glass. Lacing clings to the sides with each sip, leaving a defined trail down the bowl.

◌ Aroma

The nose is dominated by fresh orange and mixed citrus oils, with Citra and Mosaic hops delivering pronounced tropical and stone fruit notes. A subtle honeyed sweetness undercuts the aromatic profile, balanced by a dry, herbal undertone that prevents the beer from becoming cloying. The English ale yeast remains restrained, allowing the hop character to lead.

◐ Geschmack

On entry, bright citrus and orange flavors coat the palate, supported by a smooth, honeyed sweetness from the malt bill of 2-row, Pilsner, and white wheat. The mid-palate is full-bodied and rich, with the hop bitterness emerging gradually rather than aggressively—27 IBU keeps the finish dry without harshness. The 9.5% ABV provides warmth and weight that integrates seamlessly into the overall structure.

◑ Abgang

The finish is clean and lingering, with citrus notes persisting alongside a gentle warming alcohol presence. Dryness dominates the aftertaste without bitterness or astringency, leaving the palate refreshed and ready for the next sip.
