Of Foam and Fury presents a bright golden-amber hue with excellent clarity and a dense, persistent white head. The beer exhibits lively carbonation with a fine, tight bubble structure that clings to the glass. The light body color (SRM 8) creates an inviting, radiant appearance typical of well-crafted Double IPAs.

◌ Aroma

The nose is immediately dominated by tropical fruit and citrus notes, with prominent mango and grapefruit aromas from the Citra and Simcoe hop combination. Underlying piney and resinous qualities add complexity and depth, complementing the assertive hop character without overwhelming the senses. A subtle malt sweetness provides balance to the aggressive aromatic profile.

The palate opens with a bold hop bitterness (75 IBU) that is well-integrated into the full-bodied malt base, creating excellent balance. Mid-palate delivers waves of citrus, tropical fruit, and resinous pine flavors with a dry, gripping texture. The finish maintains hoppy character while the 8.5% ABV provides subtle alcohol warmth without harshness, making this remarkably drinkable for its strength.

The finish is crisp and dry with a lingering, gently resinous aftertaste that fades gradually. Hop bitterness persists pleasantly without becoming astringent, encouraging another sip of this dangerously quaffable Double IPA.
