Lateral Haze presents an orange-tinted, opaque body characteristic of the hazy IPA style, with fine particulate matter suspended throughout from the yeast. The dense, cream-colored head forms readily and clings to the glass with moderate persistence. Carbonation appears moderate, creating a soft, pillowy presentation rather than aggressive effervescence.

◌ Aroma

Fresh-cut ripe pineapple commands the nose, delivered prominently by the Simcoe, Amarillo, and Idaho 7 hop blend. A dank, resinous undertone balances the bright fruit, adding herbaceous depth and earthy complexity. The English malt base contributes a subtle bread crust note that anchors the tropical character without overwhelming it.

The palate opens with bold tropical and citrus fruit from the hop selection, maintaining the pineapple-forward character established on the nose. A slightly malty body provides structure and a gentle sweetness that prevents the beer from becoming thin or one-dimensional. The bitterness arrives mid-palate at a restrained 25 IBU, finishing clean and integrated rather than harsh, allowing the fruit and malt to coexist in balance.
