Voodoo Jazz Hat

United Kingdom·New Zealand Pale Ale

◎ Aussehen

Pale golden hue with a soft, diffuse cloudiness throughout, characteristic of an unfined cask ale. The head forms quickly and retains a fine, delicate collar with visible lacing on the glass. Gentle carbonation creates a calm, creamy presentation.

◌ Aroma

The Nelson Sauvin and Motueka hops dominate with a bright tropical-fruit profile: white peach, passionfruit, and subtle stone fruit notes rise cleanly on the nose. Beneath lies a biscuity, lightly sweet malt backdrop that supports the hops without overshadowing them. No yeast esters or off-notes apparent.

◐ Geschmack

Entry is crisp and refreshing, with tropical fruit flavors—particularly peach and citrus stone fruit—leading the palate. The body remains lean and dry, allowing the hop character to maintain clarity through the mid-palate without heaviness. A measured bitterness of 40 IBU provides structure and balance, finishing clean without astringency.

◑ Abgang

The finish is clean and relatively brief, with the hop bitterness fading to leave a dry, slightly peppery aftertaste. A whisper of stone fruit lingers on the back palate before giving way to a refreshing empty mouth.
