Anarkia presents a deep amber to light brown hue, characteristic of the barleywine style at SRM 14. The beer shows good clarity with a tan head that builds firmly and maintains reasonable lacing down the glass. Carbonation is moderate and well-integrated, supporting the substantial body without excess fizz.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with pronounced thyme honey notes, sweet and floral, layered with woody character from the American oak spirals. Beneath this sits a warm, herbal backdrop with hints of caramel malt and dried dark fruit. The 11% ABV adds a subtle alcohol warmth that frames the aroma without dominating.

The palate is rich and full-bodied, opening with honey sweetness tempered by gentle oak tannins and a restrained 50 IBU bitterness. Mid-palate brings caramel, malty depth, and faint dark fruit character, while the wood influence adds subtle spice and drying structure. The alcohol integrates smoothly, warming the finish without harshness.
