Loki presents a pale golden hue with a distinctly hazy, turbid character typical of a New England IPA. The cloudiness arises from suspended yeast and protein, creating a soft, diffuse appearance. A dense, creamy head forms readily and clings to the glass with good retention, leaving a fine lacing as the beer is consumed.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with bright, tropical fruit character—passionfruit and citrus lead, supported by subtle stone fruit notes from the Styrian Dragon and New World hop blend. Beneath the hop-forward aromatics sits a soft, grainy maltiness from the barley, wheat, and oat bill, which adds body and a faint cereal undertone without dominating. No sharp phenolic or solvent notes; the profile remains clean and inviting.

Entry is smooth and rounded, with the oat and wheat providing a full, pillowy mouthfeel that masks the moderate 50 IBU bitterness. The mid-palate balances tropical and citrus fruit flavours against a restrained, clean malted grain sweetness—the beer avoids heaviness despite its wheat content. Bitterness builds gradually toward the swallow, remaining crisp and herbal rather than aggressive or astringent.

The finish is refreshing and relatively dry, with lingering citrus and passionfruit notes fading into a faint grain whisper. No harsh tannins or alcohol warmth persist; at 5.5% ABV, the beer closes clean and leaves the palate ready for the next sip.
