Deep mahogany to nearly opaque brown, with a dense tan head that settles into a thin collar. The body shows excellent clarity at the edges despite its darkness, with good retention and a modest ring of lacing down the glass. Carbonation is moderate and well-integrated, creating a smooth, even bead.

◌ Aroma

Honey leads the nose with a warm floral sweetness, backed by toasted Malz and cocoa powder. Dark fruit notes—raisin and plum—emerge beneath a light earthy undertone, while a subtle coffee-like roastiness adds complexity without harshness. The mountain terroir is subtle: clean, mineral undertones suggest the high-altitude brewing water.

◐ Geschmack

Sweet honey and roasted chocolate dominate the entry, with raisin and prune providing depth in the mid-palate. The 33 IBU provides restrained bitterness that balances rather than challenges the sweetness, allowing dark fruit and a malty smoothness to carry through. Body is full without heaviness, with a velvety mouthfeel that underscores the honey's contribution.

◑ Abgang

The finish is clean and moderately long, with honey and roasted notes lingering gently. A dry, earthy cocoa impression emerges as the sweetness fades, leaving a warm, slightly peppery aftertaste that invites another sip.
