Ostravar is the brewery of Ostrava: its first mention dates to 1897, and the first batch followed a year later. It still brews bottom-fermented in the open vats of its spilka, the fermenting room, and the beer matures for many weeks in cool, dark lager cellars. The range centres on the Ostrava twelve and Mustang, joined by Černá Barbora, named best dark special of 2018, and the limited Speciály ze spilky. The taste is meant to belong to this region.
