Kurpfalzbräu is a beer brand of the family-run Weldebräu company and is brewed at its brewery in Plankstadt, next to Schwetzingen in the Kurpfalz region; it has no brewhouse of its own. According to the company, the recipes are reinterpretations of old ones from the collection of master brewer Hans Hirsch, great-grandfather of today's managing director Max Spielmann, and the labels follow the historic bottles. The range centres on Helles, wheat beer and Kellerbier, joined by seasonal bock, Märzen and a light summer lager, sold mainly in the Rhine-Neckar area.

A handful of styles across their range — a shared thread has to hold across each of them.
Across 8 beers in 3 style families, one trait still carries through — a broad range makes a shared signature harder to hold.
