Kulmbacher Brauerei
The company traces its origins to 1846, when the local brewing citizens Johann Wolfgang Reichel, Johann Konrad Scheiding and Johann Martin Hübner joined forces as Reichelbräu, which became a public company in 1895. Sandlerbräu, Mönchshof and EKU were added later, and in 1996 the combined business took the Kulmbacher name. Listed on the Munich exchange and majority-owned by the Paulaner Brauerei Gruppe, it brews the Kulmbacher, Mönchshof, Kapuziner and EKU brands and co-hosts the annual Kulmbach beer week.
