Krombacher is a family-owned brewery in Krombach, a district of Kreuztal in the Siegerland region of North Rhine-Westphalia. It was first recorded in 1803, when Johannes Haas set up a brewhouse in his father's inn, and the Schadeberg family has run it since 1922. The brewery draws its soft, low-mineral water from springs and wells in the surrounding hills and built its name on Pils; the current range adds a Helles, wheat beers, a naturally cloudy Dunkel and several alcohol-free beers.
