Known for a full range of styles

Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company was established in 2014 in Maxwelton, West Virginia, just minutes from the historic town of Lewisburg. Its first two flagship beers, Wild Trail Pale Ale and Mothman Black IPA, debuted in September 2014, with Devil Anse IPA following that December. The brewery draws inspiration from Appalachian legends and local folklore, and grew to become West Virginia's largest production brewery. After a closure in 2022, the brewery was purchased in August 2023 by Joshua Bennett, owner of The Hawk Knob Appalachian Cidery, and has since reopened under community-minded new ownership.
