Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.

◎ Appearance

Deep garnet to near-black in the glass, with minimal light transmission through the body. The head is tan and compact, settling into a fine collar with moderate retention along the glass walls. Carbonation is evident but restrained, allowing the dark malt character to visually dominate.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with resinous pine and herbal hop notes, layered beneath roasted grain and subtle dark fruit aromatics. Beneath the bold hop presentation, toasted malt and faint chocolate undertones emerge. The overall profile is assertively herbal and earthy, with minimal yeast-driven esters.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with balanced bitterness and roasted malt sweetness, neither dominating on entry. Mid-palate reveals piney hop oils, coffee notes, and a dry mineral character that cuts through the dark fruit backdrop. The finish is clean and moderately bitter, with lingering pine and a subtle chocolate dryness.

◑ Finish

The aftertaste is moderately long, shaped by residual herbal bitterness and roasted grain dryness. No cloying sweetness remains; the impression is crisp and assertively hopped.
