Brauerei Frankenheim
Heinrich Frankenheim founded the brewery in 1873 in Düsseldorf's old town under the name 'Zum Falken', hence the falcon that still sits on the label. Demand soon outgrew the first site, and a second, larger plant opened on Wielandstraße, where the administration and a brewery tap remain today. The family ran the business for four generations until Peter Frankenheim sold the majority stake to the Warsteiner group in 2005. The range centres on a single top-fermented Altbier, poured in more than 4,400 bars and restaurants across Germany.
