Founded in 1922 by Félix Duyck in Jenlain, near Valenciennes — France's second-largest independent brewery. Credited with single-handedly reviving the bière de garde style. The Jenlain Ambrée was the first beer bottled in 750ml champagne-style corked bottles (1949). Discovered by Lille students in the late 1960s and became France's defining craft beer of the 70s–80s. Now run by the 5th generation (Mathieu Duyck since 2013). Produces 100,000 HL/year.
