Pitch-dark ebony pour with a dense, persistent tan head that clings to the glass. The beer displays excellent clarity for its style, with a rich mahogany glow when held to light. Carbonation appears moderate and well-integrated, supporting the impressive head retention.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with prominent dark chocolate and roasted espresso notes, characteristic of this Baltic Porter's robust malt bill. Subtle undertones of dried dark fruit, molasses, and a whisper of licorice emerge beneath the primary roasted character. The alcohol warmth is present but restrained, adding depth without overpowering.

◐ Taste

The palate delivers a rich, smooth entry dominated by roasted malt complexity and deep dark chocolate notes. Mid-palate reveals layers of coffee, licorice, and subtle spice, with a lush mouthfeel that balances the 9.5% ABV beautifully. The 38 IBU provides restrained bitterness that complements rather than competes with the malt-forward profile.

The finish is long and warming, with the alcohol providing a gentle heat that enhances rather than dominates. Lingering notes of dark chocolate and roasted grain persist on the palate, creating a satisfying and memorable aftertaste.
