Elevation

Tap to rate

Elevation is the brewery's flagship, a pale ale at 4.8 per cent built on pale, wheat and Munich malt. Several hop additions put pineapple and grapefruit at the front, with a faint dank, resinous edge behind the fruit. The body stays light, and at 40 IBU the bitterness is clearly present without taking over. Mosaic, Strata, Centennial, Huell Melon and Titan make up the hop bill; the finish is firm and refreshing.

◎ Appearance

Elevation presents a pale golden hue with bright clarity and a delicate, fine-grained head that recedes to a thin collar with modest lacing. The carbonation appears well-integrated, lending a gentle effervescence without aggressive bubble activity. The beer's translucency and light color reflect its restrained malt bill.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with distinct tropical fruit character—ripe pineapple and grapefruit citrus dominate the top notes, delivered by the Mosaic and Huell Melon hops. Beneath this fruity veil sits a subtle resinous, dank undertone that anchors the composition without overwhelming. Pale and wheat malts contribute a soft, biscuity backdrop that frames rather than competes with the hop expression.

◐ Taste

Entry is crisp and fruit-forward, with the citrus and tropical notes from the nose translating cleanly to the palate. The body remains lean and refreshing, allowing the hop bitterness—firm at 40 IBU—to assert itself without harshness or astringency. The resinous character gains prominence mid-palate, providing structure and depth that prevents the beer from tasting thin.

The finish is firm and cleanly bitter, with lingering grapefruit and a touch of resin that fades gradually. The refreshing quality persists through to the aftertaste, leaving the palate dry and inviting another sip.

Cold enough to sharpen the hop aroma without numbing the palate. Around 7–9°C keeps the citrus and pine vivid without losing bitterness definition.
