Starobrno Štatl 12

Czech Republic·Czech Premium Pale Lager
Tap to rate

A premium 12° lager with full flavour and a balanced, pleasant bitterness. It is brewed with a two-decoction mash from Moravian malt and exclusively Czech hops (Žatecký poloraný červeňák, Sládek and Premiant), with no added hop extracts. Štatl is Brno slang for the city centre and points to the brewery's roots close to it. The recipe was developed in 2024, the beer went on tap in selected restaurants on 28 March 2025, and the label shows the Brno panorama.

◐ Taste

The palate entry is crisp and clean, with the malt's bready sweetness immediately balanced by a firm, lingering bitterness. Mid-palate reveals the full body expected from a 12° beer: malty richness supports the hop bitterness without heaviness. The finish is marked by a pronounced but refined bitter dryness that invites another sip.
