Creekside

Tap to rate

Bursts of tropical fruit come with hints of orange and peach, and the finish stays light and refreshing. Creekside takes its name from Faversham Creek, once a busy trading port and shipbuilding hub, and the pump clip shows a hand-drawn boat sailing down it. Four hops (Challenger, Mosaic, Jester, Amarillo) build this pale golden juicy IPA (4.0%, cask), the third new permanent beer of 2025 after First Drop and Iron Wharf.

◌ Aroma

Tropical fruit notes lead the nose, with distinct peach and orange blossom aromas. The four hop varieties (Mosaic, Amarillo, Jester, Challenger) layer stone fruit and citrus zest over a subtle, clean Malz base. The overall character is inviting and fruit-forward without herbal or resinous edges.

◐ Taste

Entry is smooth and approachable, with the tropical and stone fruit character translating from the nose. Mid-palate reveals a balanced bitterness at 60 IBU that frames rather than dominates, allowing the fruit complexity to persist. The low 4% ABV keeps the palate light and drinkable, with no alcohol warmth.

◑ Finish

The finish remains clean and refreshing, with the peach and orange notes fading gradually into a gentle, lingering bitterness. No harsh drying or astringency; instead, the beer invites another sip.

Serve at 8–11°C

Serve well-chilled. Session IPAs are at their best cold — the lower ABV means less warmth to balance the hops.

Tulip glass

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.

Drink fresh. Session IPAs are brewed to be consumed young — the hops are at their best now.
