Sundial IPA

◎ Appearance

Sundial IPA presents in pale gold with excellent clarity and bright translucence. The head forms with fine, persistent bubbles that cling evenly to the glass, demonstrating good carbonation and foam stability. The color sits at a gentle SRM 8—neither pale straw nor deep amber, but that luminous middle ground that catches light invitingly.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with crisp lemon zest and grapefruit pith, backed by subtle tropical stone fruit. The hop character is restrained and aromatic rather than pungent, allowing the citrus notes to breathe without aggression. Underneath, gentle Malz sweetness grounds the profile, providing just enough counterweight to keep the aroma balanced and welcoming.

◐ Taste

The palate enters with a clean citrus bite—orange and grapefruit in measured proportion—that sits comfortably across the tongue. The mid-palate maintains this line without veering into harsh bitterness; instead, the 4.2% ABV keeps the body smooth and sessionable, allowing the hop-driven flavour to land as refreshment rather than punch. A light, crisp finish follows, the alcohol almost invisible beneath the fruit.

◑ Finish

The finish is short to medium, clean and dry, with grapefruit and a whisper of hop bitterness lingering briefly on the palate. The aftertaste fades gracefully without astringency, leaving only the memory of citrus brightness and an invitation to pour again.

Serve well-chilled. Session IPAs are at their best cold — the lower ABV means less warmth to balance the hops.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
