Real Ale Lost Gold IPA

◎ Appearance

Pale golden hue with excellent clarity and bright, lively carbonation. The head forms thick and persistent, with strong lacing that clings to the glass walls through the drink. A classically transparent presentation characteristic of well-crafted American IPA.

◌ Aroma

Fresh pine and resinous hop character dominate, grounded by clean, biscuity Malz notes. Bright citrus—primarily orange zest—cuts through with herbal and floral undertones. The nose is direct and aromatic without excessive fruit esters, presenting the clean, heritage-style hop profile that defines this beer.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with balanced malt sweetness and clean grain character, allowing the hop bitterness to emerge steadily through the mid-palate. Pine and orange flavors build alongside a moderate, lingering bitterness that finishes dry. The body is medium, neither heavy nor thin, with good structure that supports both the malt and bittering hop character without becoming harsh.

◑ Finish

The finish is clean and dry, with the bitterness holding firm but not astringent. Orange and pine notes fade gradually, leaving a pleasant hop residue and slight grain dryness on the palate.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
