Patagonia West Coast Lager

◎ Appearance

Pours bright gold with excellent clarity and a persistent white head that clings to the glass with fine lacing. The carbonation is lively and well-integrated, lending visual vivacity to the pour. The color sits at the lighter end of the spectrum, characteristic of the Pilsner malt base.

◌ Aroma

The nose is dominated by the Mosaic and Centennial hops, presenting a vibrant blend of citrus, tropical fruit, and floral aromatics. Pine and resinous character emerge in the mid-range, underpinned by a clean, neutral Pilsner malt foundation. The hop intensity is the primary aromatic driver, with minimal yeast or fermentation character.

◐ Taste

Entry is crisp and clean, with a light body that allows the hop character to shine without weight. The mid-palate develops distinct bitterness from the Centennial and Mosaic varieties, balanced by subtle malt sweetness. Citrus and pine notes persist through the palate, with a resinous quality that defines the West Coast hop tradition adapted to a lager format.

◑ Finish

The finish is dry and lingering, with the bitterness extending into a clean aftertaste. The light body ensures no warming sensation despite the 5% ABV, maintaining refreshment throughout.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
