Patagonia Red Lager presents a bright copper hue that catches the light with clarity and depth. A dense ivory head crowns the glass and clings to the sides with persistent lacing, revealing good carbonation and stability. The color builds on Pilsner base malt with enough caramel malt to create this warm, polished amber-copper tone.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with caramel and sponge cake sweetness, immediately inviting and approachable. Toffee notes emerge alongside subtle nutty undertones, while the blend of Apollo, Eureka and Cascade hops adds a floral lift that prevents the beer from becoming cloying. As the glass warms, these layers separate further, revealing depth beyond the initial caramel impression.

The palate enters soft with malt sweetness and develops a balanced toffee character through the mid-palate. Bitterness is subtle yet firm—the 16 IBU registers as a clean, grounding counterpoint rather than a sharp edge. Caramel and nut flavors remain present, while the hops provide definition without dominating, keeping the beer refreshing despite its sweet malt foundation.
