The Premium

Tap to rate

Three years and 3,000 yeast samples later, Orion's brewers found the one they wanted on a white clover: OB-001, a new yeast from Okinawan nature. It brings a fruity aroma and a mellow depth of flavour that lingers. Brewed from malt, hops and barley at 5% ABV, with a label picked by public vote out of about 600 entries.

◐ Taste

The palate enters soft and approachable, with the fruity character carrying through seamlessly from the nose. Malt provides a rounded, mellow sweetness that avoids any cloying character. Bitterness is restrained (22 IBU), allowing the delicate yeast-derived complexity and malt smoothness to dominate the mid-palate and linger into the finish.

◑ Finish

The finish is clean and dry, with the fruity notes gradually fading into a pleasant malty warmth. A subtle residual sweetness persists without heaviness, leaving the palate refreshed and ready for the next sip.

About Lager

Style guide · what to expect · how to find alternatives

What is a Lager?

Euro Pale Lagers are clean, refreshing lagers with 4–5.5% ABV and IBU 10–25. Soft malt sweetness, light hop bitterness and high carbonation make them supremely drinkable.

Finding a similar Lager

hopIQ matches by flavor profile — not just style label. A beer with the same fruity, smooth, malty character as The Premium will score highly even if brewed in a different country or under a different sub-style name.
