Mahrs E.T.A. is a Dunkel brewed to an old recipe, first made in 2008 for the jubilee year marking 200 years of E.T.A. Hoffmann and kept in the range since. Nut-brown with a firm, cream-coloured head, it opens with a scent of roasted coffee over toasty malt. The palate is malty and mildly sweet, with an undertone of chocolate and a spicy edge, then turns almost velvety towards a finish with light bitterness. Original gravity is 13.5 °P, hopped with Hallertauer Perle and Select.
