Cheeseburger Cavalry

Tap to rate

Cheeseburger Cavalry is the IPA Left Handed Giant has carried since its cuckoo-brewing days, before the brewery had a plant of its own, and it returns every year. Whole-leaf Citra and a small liquid-hop addition go in alongside a full charge of T90 and Cryo pellets, with Mosaic as the second variety. The result is a ripe, juicy hop aroma with a steady thread of pine underneath. Oats are part of the grist, and the beer is brewed to 6.9%.

Serve at 8–11°C

Serve well-chilled. Session IPAs are at their best cold — the lower ABV means less warmth to balance the hops.

Tulip glass

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.

Drink fresh. Session IPAs are brewed to be consumed young — the hops are at their best now.
