Jennings Helles

Tap to rate

Crisp, refreshing and balanced, with the sweetness of Munich malt and the bite of Tettnang and Perle hops. Jennings Helles is an unfiltered Cumbrian lager of 4.5 %, brewed with the brewery's Lakeland well water and bottom-fermenting lager yeast. It nods to the German miners who came to work in the fells around the brewery and left their mark in the Cumberland sausage, the region's take on a bratwurst.

◐ Taste

Entry is crisp and quenching, with a delicate malt sweetness that avoids being cloying. The mid-palate shows a light, grainy malt body balanced by the bitter bite of noble hops. Bitterness builds gently and finishes clean, lingering just long enough to refresh rather than dominate.
