Deep brown to black in color, with an opaque body characteristic of the style. A modest tan head forms quickly and recedes steadily, leaving thin lacing along the glass. Carbonation appears moderate, appropriate for a medium-bodied American stout.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with roasted barley and dark malt character, supported by distinct chocolate notes and a subtle espresso undertone. There is little hop expression; the aromatics remain clean and grain-forward without floral or citrus complexity. The overall impression is restrained and approachable rather than assertive.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with smooth roasted flavors and cocoa that persist through the mid-palate. Modest bitterness sits at 45 IBU, providing structure without harshness. The beer maintains a balanced, drinkable character—neither heavy nor thin—making it accessible to those transitioning from lighter ales.
