🌍 Greece · Lager · One of 134 Lagers in hopIQ

The resurrection of Greece's oldest beer — Fix Hellas was first brewed in 1864 by Bavarian immigrant Johann Karl Fix in Athens, making it the founding beer of Greek brewing history. Discontinued in 1983 and revived by Athenian Brewery in 2012, Fix Hellas is now one of Greece's premium lager brands: clean, golden and crisp with a slightly more pronounced hop character than Mythos. Fix carries enormous Greek historical and cultural significance.

Style guide · what to expect · how to find alternatives

What is a Lager?

Euro Pale Lagers are clean, refreshing lagers with 4–5.5% ABV and IBU 10–25. Soft malt sweetness, light hop bitterness and high carbonation make them supremely drinkable.

hopIQ matches by flavor profile — not just style label. A beer with the same clean, crisp, hoppy character as Fix Hellas will score highly even if brewed in a different country or under a different sub-style name.
