Grade 10

Tap to rate

Lightly bitter with a bit of sweetness, this 5.2% hazy pale ale uses Citra as its only hop, throughout the whole brewing process. It comes from Fidens, which opened in late 2019 in Colonie near Albany and now pours at its taproom on Broadway in Albany. The brewery takes its name from the Latin word for courageousness, confidence and fearlessness.

◐ Taste

The palate enters smooth and juicy, with an initial sweetness that grounds the beer's foundation. Mid-palate reveals the Citra hop's citrusy bite, building to a moderate bitterness that integrates well rather than dominates. At 5.2% ABV and 40 IBU, the beer achieves balance—enough hop character to engage without overwhelming the light malt structure.
