Vuurzee

Netherlands·Bière de Champagne
Tap to rate

Sparkling brut beer with a light lactic tang, a fine mousse and a soft tannic bitterness from Pinot Noir grape skins that replaces much of the usual hop bitterness. Brewed top-fermented with sparkling-wine yeast and hand-picked Pinot Noir from its own vineyard in Loosdrecht, then matured three to four months in the bottle as the bubbles turn fine. Older vintages soften and pick up honeycomb notes. Served at about 8 °C.
