◎ Appearance

Budvar Original presents a brilliant golden hue with excellent clarity and a bright, sparkling quality characteristic of a well-crafted Czech pilsner. A dense, creamy white head forms and persists admirably, with fine carbonation creating a delicate bead throughout the glass.

◌ Aroma

The nose is classically noble, with prominent Žatec Saaz hops delivering spicy, herbal, and delicate floral notes. Beneath this, clean grainy and slightly bready malt aromas provide a subtle sweetness, while the yeast character remains restrained and elegant—a hallmark of proper lager fermentation and extended conditioning.

◐ Taste

The palate opens crisp and refreshing with a full malt body that belies the modest 5% ABV. A balanced interplay of grainy sweetness and herbal hop bitterness (22 IBUs) develops through the mid-palate, creating complexity without aggression. The finish transitions seamlessly from malty richness to dry, clean minerality.

◑ Finish

The finish is exceptionally clean and slightly dry, with lingering herbal hop notes that fade gracefully. A subtle sweetness emerges as an aftertaste, leaving the palate refreshed and inviting another sip.

Serve well-chilled at 4–6°C for maximum crispness. A pilsner served too warm loses its defining snap.
