Germany·Alcohol-Free Witbier
Tap to rate

Orange, lemon and coriander: this naturally hazy, straw-yellow alcohol-free Witbier gets Curaçao orange peel and coriander seeds next to Hallertauer Tradition and Solero hops. Wheat, Pilsner, Spitz and sour malt and a special non-alcoholic yeast make 0.34% ABV, 7.3 °P and 30 IBU. Pierre Celis revived the Witbier style in Belgium in 1966.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with bright Curaçao orange peel and fresh lemon zest, followed by pronounced coriander seed—herbaceous and slightly peppery. Hallertauer Tradition and Solero hops contribute a gentle Edelhopfen refinement without aggressive alpha notes. Soft wheat malt and a whisper of yeast round out the composition, creating a clean, inviting bouquet.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with creamy wheat character and subtle bready sweetness, immediately backed by the spicy warmth of coriander and bright citrus zest. The 30 IBU bitterness arrives mid-sip with restraint and refinement, never harsh or medicinal, balancing the soft malt foundation. The finish layer reveals a crisp, dry quality that refreshes rather than fatigues.

◑ Finish

Clean and refreshing, with the bitterness tapering to a whisper and the citrus lingering gently in the aftertaste. The mouthfeel remains light and aerated, leaving no cloying residue—a hallmark of well-crafted alcohol-free brewing.

Serve at 5–8°C

Serve cold to preserve the delicate citrus and spice aromas. Too warm and the yeast esters become heavy — too cold and the coriander disappears.

Witbier glass

The tall, slender wheat beer glass holds the full 50cl pour and shows off the hazy golden colour. The wide mouth lets citrus and spice aromas drift upward freely.

Best consumed fresh. Citrus and spice notes fade after 3–4 months. Drink within 6 months of packaging.
