La Saison champêtre

Tap to rate

Wet grass on the nose, then citrus, orange peel and a tangy, medium-sour palate that finishes velvet-smooth. This saison is a collaboration between BFM and La Nébuleuse, brewed with alpine hay and nettle juice, Hersbrucker hops and yeast from a Vin Jaune barrel. An experimental first batch matured six months in barrels before being blended with a hay-infused second brew from Saignelégier.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with fresh-cut wet grass and herbaceous notes from alpine hay and nettle infusion, then unfolds into bright citrus and orange peel. Underlying yeast complexity from the Vin Jaune barrel adds subtle funky, slightly vinous character without dominating. The Hersbrucker hops contribute a gentle herbal restraint rather than aggressive floral intensity.
