◎ Appearance

Pale golden, nearly translucent with excellent clarity and fine carbonation. The head forms quickly and clings persistently to the glass, leaving distinct lacing with each sip. The bright, effervescent character signals freshness and readiness for immediate consumption.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with prominent citrus notes—ripe daidai and natsu mikan dominate, backed by zesty orange peel and grapefruit. Herbal and piney hop character emerges beneath the fruit, with subtle spice providing depth and preventing the aroma from becoming cloying. There is no apparent malt sweetness or yeast character; the fruit and hops occupy the entire olfactory field.

◐ Taste

Entry is crisp and tart, with the Japanese citrus varieties providing a ripe fruit character that sits seamlessly beneath the hop bitterness rather than competing with it. The mid-palate maintains tension between zesty acidity and firm, bracing bitterness—the 65 IBU arrives clean and well-integrated. Finish is dry and hoppy, with lingering herbal notes and a peppery spice that keeps the palate engaged.

◑ Finish

The bitterness holds steadily through the aftertaste without becoming harsh or astringent. A clean, refreshing quality persists, though the finish remains relatively brief—a characteristic that rewards drinking young before the hop bite mellows.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
