Crafty Friar
Crafty Friar is a pale ale from the guest range of Abbey Ales, hopped with Amarillo. The hop gives it a citrus note on the palate and a floral finish. At 4.4% it sits a little above Bath Pale Ale, the brewery's other Amarillo beer, and it is one of three friars on the list, next to the white one and the black one, today's Bath Stout. It has been brewed since at least 2016 and is a cask beer, poured mainly in the brewery's pubs in Bath.
