hopIQ found 10 beers that share Silly Pils's malty and noble-hoppy character. Pils at 5% ABV, bottom-fermented and brewed with pale malt and Saaz and Hallertau hops. The malt comes first, followed by subtle hop bitterness that does not linger and never turns tart. By 1950 the brewery, riding an expanding café trade, had launched it as its first bottom-fermented beer.
