Beers similar to Haynau's Retreat

Schwarzbier·United Kingdom·5.3% ABV·One of 74 Schwarzbiers in hopIQ·

hopIQ found 10 beers that share Haynau's Retreat's malty and roasted character. Black treacle runs through Haynau's Retreat, a 5.3% dark lager brewed with The Kernel. It is a modern take on a 1930 London black lager, made near where The Kernel stands today with an odd process: the sweetest mash runnings were boiled down into a rich syrup and added back before fermentation. Pronounced 'High-now's', and vegan friendly.
