Beers similar to Feldschlößchen Schwarzer Steiger

Feldschlößchen Brauerei

Schwarzbier·Germany·5% ABV·One of 104 Schwarzbiers in hopIQ·

hopIQ found 10 beers that share Feldschlößchen Schwarzer Steiger's roasted and dry character. Schwarzer Steiger is a Schwarzbier brewed in the tradition of the Saxon miners; a Steiger was the overseer below ground. Special dark malts give it a near-black colour with reddish-brown highlights under a tan head. Roasted malt leads in aroma and flavour, with notes of dark bread, cocoa and a touch of coffee, softened by light caramel sweetness. A finely judged hop note and a gentle roast bitterness keep the 5.0 % body slim and the finish dry.
