A slight haze is natural to the style, evidence of bottle refermentation; pour carefully to leave the yeast sediment undisturbed.

The nose opens with dried figs and dark stone fruit, a direct expression of the monastic bridge between continents. Belgian esters layer spicy, peppery notes beneath, while toasted Malz adds warmth and subtle caramel depth. No aggressive alcohol sharpness; the 7.5% ABV remains polished and integrated.

A rich, full-bodied entry delivers fig jam and raisiny sweetness against a soft malty backbone. Mid-palate warmth comes from the alcohol and yeast phenolics—clove and subtle heat without harshness. The finish settles into a gentle fade with lingering fig character and a whisper of spice, leaving the palate contemplative rather than sharp.
