The nose reveals the classic complexity of monastic brewing, with prominent dark fruit esters—raisin and plum—complemented by warm spice undertones and subtle yeast character. Toasted malt and light bread notes provide a solid foundation, while a gentle sweetness rounds out the aromatic profile without being cloying.

The palate opens with a rich caramel sweetness and develops into layers of dried fruit flavors—prune and fig—balanced by modest bitterness (18 IBU) that prevents sweetness dominance.
