Deep mahogany-brown hue with excellent clarity and a substantial tan head that settles into fine lacing around the glass. The color reflects the careful kilning of dark Malz, characteristic of the Porter style. Carbonation is moderate and well-integrated, creating a refined visual presence.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with restrained roasted grain and dark chocolate, followed by subtle coffee notes that add depth without dominating. There is a pleasant toastiness underscoring the malt character, with no sharp or burnt edges. The overall aromatic profile is inviting and balanced, characteristic of a well-executed cask-conditioned porter.

◐ Geschmack

Smooth entry on the palate with pronounced malty richness that develops chocolate and roasted notes through the mid-palate. The beer carries good body without heaviness, with a clean bitterness arriving in the latter stages—neither aggressive nor subdued. The interplay between malt sweetness and restrained hop bitterness creates an approachable drinking experience.

◑ Abgang

The finish is pleasantly bitter with lingering roasted and chocolate notes that fade gradually. Aftertaste remains clean and dry, inviting another sip without fatigue.

Bei 10–13°C servieren. Zu kalt dämpft die Röstvielfalt, die einen guten Porter langsam trinkbar macht.
