Fogtown

◎ Aussehen

A pale golden haze dominates the glass, with suspended yeast and hop solids creating a soft, diffuse light transmission characteristic of New England ale technique. The head is full and creamy, settling into a resilient collar with fine, persistent lacing. Carbonation is moderate and evenly distributed, contributing to the inviting, approachable visual profile.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with ripe papaya and stone fruit, backed by an assertive tropical coconut note that feels integrated rather than artificial. A subtle vanilla undertone weaves through, likely from ester development and gentle oak contact, while a pleasant herbal hop character provides structure without sharp resinousness. The overall impression is fruit-forward yet balanced, with no solvent or rough edges.

◐ Geschmack

Entry is soft and full-bodied, with creamy mouthfeel coating the palate immediately. Mid-palate reveals the same tropical fruit character found in the aroma, supported by a mild, restrained bitterness that sits at 40 IBU—enough to frame the hops without dominating. The finish is clean and slightly dry, with lingering papaya and coconut notes fading to a subtle herbal whisper.

◑ Abgang

The aftertaste is medium-length and dry, with tropical fruit and vanilla gradually receding to reveal a clean, slightly mineral baseline. No harsh tannins or harsh alcohol heat; the 4.6% ABV remains entirely transparent, making this beer remarkably easy to drink across multiple servings.
