◎ Aussehen

Black Stork presents a deep garnet-black body with exceptional clarity for the style, allowing light to pass through at the edges. The head is dense and persistent, building quickly and clinging to the glass in fine rings of lacing. Carbonation is lively and well-integrated, supporting the visual presence without excessive aggression.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with toasted malt and dark grain character, followed by bright citrus and herbal hop notes that cut cleanly through the roasted base. There is a subtle stone fruit undertone—perhaps plum or cherry—that adds complexity without overwhelming the balance. No phenolic or solvent notes; the overall impression is clean and composed.

◐ Geschmack

The palate opens with roasted grain and a light, almost coffee-like maltiness that belies the low ABV. Herbal and citrus hop bitterness builds steadily through the mid-palate, reaching 60 IBU with measured intensity. The body is lean and crisp, allowing the bitter notes to articulate without astringency or harshness.

◑ Abgang

The finish is dry and lingering, with bitter hop character sustaining well into the aftertaste. Roasted malt echoes lightly, leaving the impression of charred grain and measured noble hop resin.
