Jenny Lake Lager

Jenny Lake hits like a proper Vienna should: bready, just slightly sweet, with a clean grain-forward backbone that doesn't overstay its welcome. There's a whisper of caramel malt—not syrupy, just enough to distinguish it from a basic lager—but it stays restrained. The finish is dry and refreshing; you don't feel stuffed after a pint or two. Snake River nailed restraint here.

Vienna Lager

Devils Backbone's Vienna has more presence on the tongue. The malt character is warmer, with that toasted-bread-crust quality that Vienna lagers do well, and it lingers just a hair longer than Jenny Lake. There's a subtle honey note underneath—nothing that reads as 'sweet,' but it softens the edges. It's the kind of lager that tastes slightly richer without being rich, if that makes sense.
