Tilmans Biere is the label of Munich-born brewmaster Tilman Ludwig, who trained at TUM Weihenstephan and brewed for two years at the Huus Braui specialty brewery in Switzerland before going independent. He registered the business on 23 April 2014, the Tag des Bieres, which he calls a coincidence nobody believes. Recipe to distribution stay in his hands; the beers are brewed at Gut Forsting near Rosenheim and Weissbräu Schwendl near Traunstein, each with a label by its own artist.
