Pivovar Rohozec
Pivovar Rohozec has brewed in Malý Rohozec near Turnov, at the foot of the Bohemian Paradise, since 1850, when the landowner Ferdinand Unger founded it. After nationalisation in 1948 and a failed privatisation it went bankrupt; since 2004 its current owners have run it as Pivovar Rohozec a.s. The brewery belongs to the LIF Group holding, as do Svijany and Primátor. Untreated water comes from sandstone springs in the Vazovec valley; the beers ferment in open vessels and mature for about 60 days.
